iReport Open Story
iReport has become the premier network for citizen journalism. It is a tight knit community of more than a million citizen journalists dedicated to providing a raw and unfiltered view of the news as it happens. Open story introduces the idea of a collaborative news story. A CNN editor breaks an article, and iReporters add to it. The articles are tagged by the location and time they are submitted, and organized in a contextual interface that shows media and location simultaneously. It has been used for every major news event since it was debuted at sxsw in 2011.
